Geographers Map Nevada’s Seven Deadly Sins

In an interesting story by the Las Vegas Sun, researchers from Kansas State University have created a map that plots data for the seven deadly sins across the nation, but focuses on Nevada specifically. The sins (lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride) are calculated by comparing things like relative wealth vs. poverty (greed), the prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases (lust), number of thefts (envy), and—of course—pride is the culmination of the other six sins. The maps are unsurprising for the most part, but interesting to look at, and fun to speculate about. Check out the maps by clicking the Las Vegas Sun link above.
