American Heart Association Publishes CPR Map

Although we usually post stories relating to public safety from a criminal perspective, I thought this deserved a small mention. The American Heart Association has just created a CPR map and posted it on it’s website. The map indicates areas where people have been certified in CPR. The association hopes to get the total of citizens certified in CPR to 1 million, and if you look at the map you can see we still have a long way to go.

The site also features links to resources and offers registration information so you can sign up to learn CPR and become certified. Of course, being certified does guarantee that you will ever use your CPR training, but it doesn’t hurt to be prepared.
